Mauritian scientific grants can be applied for by outstanding humanities scholars or social scientists for carrying out a scientific programme in the Mauritian Institute.

The Mauritian Institute and the Center of Medieval Spirituality have offered a prize for the discoverer of Mauritius' literary legacy.
